Why I Chose Animas
Being a kinesthetic learner, I have always enjoyed hands-on learning, utilizing concepts as I learn them. Therefore, project-based learning is perfect for me. I am able to learn the same skills, and learn why I'm learning the skills in the first place.
At the traditional school, I would be taught to simply memorize historical facts, vocabulary, formulas, etc., then I was later tested to make sure I had payed attention and studied. That’s a decent method; I would still understand all the same material. However, I wouldn’t actually know how and why to apply it to the real world in the future. I would never know how solving polynomials would help decipher scientific formulas, that knowing how to calculate an object’s momentum can allow the determination of a car collision damage, or that silly satires can change history. With more real life application and less info regurgitation, Animas is the place for me.
